Hello and welcome to the live blog of Day Four of quarter-finals of Ranji Trophy 2017-18. Bengal, Delhi, Vidarbha and Karnataka are looking hot favourites at the moment. But ours is a funny game. Will there be a twist on the final day? We, at CricketCountry, will provide live scores and match reports.
At Jaipur: Bengal lead Gujarat by 307 runs with 9 wickets remaining. Riding on Abhimanyu Eesawaran’s hundred, Bengal posted 354 in the first innings. Gujarat’s Ishwar Chaudhary finished with a five-wicket haul. In reply Gujarat could manage 224 courtesy three wicket-hauls from Ashok Dinda, Ishan Porel, and Boddupalli Amit.
Bengal have scored 177 for 1, taking a mighty lead.
At Vijayawada: Madhya Pradesh trail by 20 runs with 8 wicket remaining. Delhi batted as a cohesive unit and took a lead of 67 runs in the first innings. They will qualify if the match ends in a draw. On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh will have to play out of their skin if they are to win from here.
At Surat: Vidarbha lead by 147 runs with 9 wicket remaining. After dismantling Kerala for 176, Vidarbha scored 77 for 1. KC Akshay took 5 for 66.
At Nagpur: Mumbai stare down the barrel as they trail by 277 runs with 7 wickets in hand. Karnataka enforced followed-on after dismantling Mumbai for 173. Mumbai’s chances of qualifying for the next round look bleak.
