Good Morning, शुभ प्रभात! Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog session of Day Three of Round Three of the Ranji Trophy 2017-18 on Tuesday. We at CricketCountry will be bringing to you the live updates from the matches. This round witnesses the clash of two domestic giants in Mumbai and Tamil Nadu. Other teams like Karnataka, defending champions Gujarat, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh are also in action.

Baba Indrajith scored an unbeaten ton to lead Tamil Nadu’s fightback as the team finished day two at 239 for 5 in response to Mumbai’s 374. Indrajith (105 batting) and young all-rounder Washington Sundar (69) rescued Tamil Nadu from a rather precarious 69 for 4 with a partnership of 157 runs. Vijay Shankar was the most successful Tamil Nadu bowler, finishing with 4 for 52 while the country’s premier off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin had figures of 3 for 78.

Meanwhile in Group D, all-rounder Gurkeerat Mann scored a century to capitalise on the platform laid by captain Jiwanjot Singh and Anmolpreet Singh, as Punjab amassed 635 in their first innings. Overnight batsmen, captain Jiwanjot and Anmolpreet, got out early today but Gurkeerat (114) took the charge from where the two left. Shadab Jakati was the pick of the Goan bowlers with figures of five for 165.

As for Group C, Hanuma Vihari’s maiden triple-century kept Andhra ahead.
