We at CricketCountry will be bringing to you the entire happening from the world of social media from Day 3. Day One was a mixed bag for many sides, as quite a teams faltered while others rose to the occasion. Bengal, Saurashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh took top honors on Day 2 after almost blowing their opponents away.
Bengal were in a position of strength against Chhattisgarh after declaring on 529 for 7. Sudip Chatterjee and Koushik Ghosh scored hundreds while Abhishak Raman and Anustup Majumdar and Boddupali Amit scored fifties.
Saurashtra notching up 624 for 7 declared against Jammu and Kashmir after Ravindra Jadeja scored a brillaint 201. In reply, J&K are 103 for 4. Himachal Pradesh too went past Goa’s first innings score of 255 thanks to ton by Ankush Bains taking a lead of 101.
Washington Sundar led Tamil Nadu’s charge scoring an unbeaten 156*. TN are currently in the lead by 74 runs and have 7 wickets in hand. Madhya Pradesh meanwhile rode high on Naman Ojha’s 180 that helped his side achive 409 runs against Mumbai. In reply, Mumbai are 130 for 1.
Defending champions, Gujarat took a crucial first innings against Kerala lead thanks to a valiant 91 by Chirag Gandhi. Ishant Sharma yet again rose to the occasion, taking a three wicket to down Railways to 58 for 5. Delhi made 447 in the first innings thanks to Manan Sharma and Nitish Rana.
