Hyderabad after looking good on day 2 had a major batting collapse as they went from 143/0 to 272 all out. After the wickets of Akshata Reddy and Tanmay Agarwal Hyderabad’s innings went from good to bad in no time. Agarwal after reaching his fifty got out in the fifth over of they day kicking one into the hands of Lochab off Pathania. Captain Hanuman Vihari, Balchander Anirudh and Kolla Sumanth all got out after getting into double figures as Hyderabad tumbled to a score of 272. Reddy was the only bright spot in a dark day Hyderabad in the field. Reddy batted his way to 125, with 21 fours, but his dismissal in the 87th over to Muzzaffaruddin Khalid triggered a slide that saw the team lose seven wickets for just 62 runs. Diwesh Pathania was the pick of the bowlers taking 3 wickets, while Khalid and raisin Raj picked up 2 each. Services in the 2nd innings had lost Anshul Gupta(18), Saumik Chattejee(29) and Rajat Paliwal(5) for 52 runs. Half centurion from 1st innings Yashpal Singh and Amit Pachhara were on cease for Services going into Day 4. Ravi Kiran picked up 2 wickets in his 10 overs for Hyderabad. With a first innings lead Services are well-placed to collect first-innings points.

It has ended in a draw with Services earning 3 points while Hyderabad somehow managed to earn 1 point. Services had a great game; they first scored 353 in the first innings, thanks to Soumik Chatterjee’s 156. When they were just behind in the game, their bowlers rose to the occasion and wrapped up high flying Hyderabad innings for 272.

Once they got the lead, they scored 217 runs in the second innings at a good rate, setting Hyderabad 299 to win in two sessions. Hyderabad did show some spunk, but eventually proved to be second best in the game. That’s all from here, Ciao!

Getting these many runs in a session is not difficult though, but nine out of ten times the team is unlikely to get it. Akshath Reddy has reached to his fifty and Sumnath Kolla is unbeaten on 18. There is a possibility that the match may get called off in some time with no result expected.

Both the wickets went to Kamal Passi, who has induced the hope of a win for Services here. The young bowler first got Vihari caught by Rajat Paliwal for 12 and then cleaned up Anirudh for 2. Reddy is holding the other end up but is losing out on partners. Sumanth Kolla, who has just joined him, needs to give him a good company here.

They could have played defensively and pushed it towards a draw, but their opener Tanmay Agarwal came in with some other ideas. He played his shots upfront but unfortunately got out soon. Akshath Reddy too is playing at a brisk rate but the going seems to be getting tough here on.

They brought the declaration after a 298 runs lead, setting Hyderabad a massive target to chase down in two sessions. Hyderabad started positively, with opener Tanmay Agarwal hitting 3 fours in his 19-ball 22. But his brief innings ended when Raushan Raj trapped him leg-before-wicket. Akshath Reddy and Hanuma Vihari are now at the crease.

At lunch, they have reached to a score of 217 for 7, extending their lead to 298 runs. They will most probably declare immediately after lunch and then would look to have a go at Hyderabad batsmen. Though it is unlikely to force a result in two sessions, but it can definitely give an exciting turn to the match.
