Services have started on a sound note against after Kerala were dismissed for 322. Kerala’s attritional batting continued on Day Two: after scoring 198 for 2 from 90 overs on Day One, they added another 124 from 61 overs before being bowled out. The Services openers, Anshul Gupta and Soumik Chatterjee, remained there at stumps, finishing on 66 without loss. Services need another 257 to secure the first-innings lead and earn 3 points.

Rohan Prem (101 in 267 balls, 7 fours, 2 sixes) duly reached his hundred on Day Two before being snared by Rajat Paliwal. Sachin baby (51 in 127 balls, 4 fours) followed soon, and the good work by the top-order seemed a valiant effort. Of the last seven men, captain Sanju Samson (28 in 85 balls, 4 fours) was the only one to go past 15 as Kerala lost their last 8 wickets for 80 runs. Paliwal, introduced as the seventh of eight Services bowlers, was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 33, while Diwesh Pathania and Muzzaffaruddin Ahmed had two wickets each.
Gupta (33 in 93 balls, 4 fours) and Chatterjee (28 in 83 balls, 3 fours) put up an equally grim show, scoring their 66 in 29 overs.
