The bowler’s ruled the roost on Day 2 that saw Morne Morkel and Stuart Broad pick wickets for their respective teams, South Africa and England resume hostilities on the second three of the ongoing first Test at Durban on Monday. This is Vishal Mehra, and I shall be presenting to you the live updates from the game as and when they occur. South Africa start their innings delicately placed at 137 for four, after being reduced to 14 for 2. South Africa started the day well with Morkel picking up four-for as England were bowled out for 303. Stuart Broad was next in-line to show off his bowling skills having a brilliant day with the ball and also with the bat early on. South Africa are survived by Dean Elgar and Temba Bevuma who managed to out play the English challenge in final session of play. LIVE CRICKET SCORE: England  172/3 in 64  Overs | Batting: Joe Root 60* (109), James Taylor 24* (48):STUMPS!! Joe Root and James Taylor have looked in brilliant batting form. Root remained unbeaten on 60 proved his ranking as No.2 player in Test. Taylor who made a match wining 70 in the first innings started taking on the South African bowlers early on. With England having an over all lead of 261 they will ideally look to bat till lunch tomorrow and give South Africa a big total to chase down. Dane Piedt has been the more successful South African bowler picking up two wickets whereas Morne Morkel has looked the more dangerous.

This is tricky final 10 minutes with tea just in sight. Compton has looked good and will be confident from his first innings.

Dale in his three balls bowled his heart out before going off the field with his shoulder giving a lot of trouble. Morne Morkel comes into replace Steyn. Hales has played slowly and Compton has dug in deep.

Compton who made 85 runs in the first innings, will look to keep his batting form going. Hales who is making his debut, will need to bat out his skin adjusting to the spin and bounce. South Africa has been jolted with the absence of Dale Steyn who got off the field in the 6th over with his shoulder giving him problems again.

Temba Bevuma plays on one on to his stumps trying to play away from the body. After a gripping Day 2, Day 3 promises to be another intriguing session of cricket. Stuart Broad has been the most influential bowler  for England. Dean Elgar will look to score his fourth Test hundred, is joined by JP Duminy. Duminy is himself having bad run with the bat, will need to bat out of his skin.

England bowlers has been up to the mark, to be more specific Stuart Broad. Broad has looked apart from all of the other bowler’s on display picking up Van Zyl for zero, Hashim Amlaon two  and Dangerous AB de Villers for 49 to back the back-bone of South African Team. England went into lunch after being bowled out by South Africa for 303 runs.Morkel was the chief wicket-taker for South Africa as he picked up  4 scalps to deflate the start given by Nick Compton and Ben Stokes.Dale Steyn added one-more wicket to his tally of three wickets dismissing final batsmen of Steven Finn.
