England already have a comfortable 2-0 lead in the series and would aim to dominate the hosts and finish the series with another win in this final Test, thus rubbing salts in the wounds of South Africa, However, the Proteas would not aim to back out easily and would look for a turnaround and make sure that they win this final tie to finish the series on a high and salvage some lost pride back. LIVE CRICKET SCORE: England 52/3 in 21 overs; BATTING: Joe Root 19(49), James Taylor 19(34): England end Day three on 52 for the loss of three wickets in their second innings. Both, Joe Root and James Taylor remained unbeaten on 19. England will now need to score 330 more runs tomorrow to win the match. For South Africa, Kagiso Rabada picked up two wickets while Morne Morkel scalped one.

England now need exactly 350 more runs to win the match. The task is tough since it will get difficult for batsmen on the final day of the Test. At present they should ensure that they do not lose another wicket till the day ends.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: South Africa 248/5 in 83.2 overs; BATTING: Temba Bavuma 78(154), Quinton de Kock 9(9): Amla edges a Stuart Broad’s delivery. Broad’s plan of bowling outside off finally pays dividends. Amla narrowly misses out on scoring a century by four runs, as Broad finally manages to break the dangerous-looking 117-run stand in the first few overs of the final session of the day. SIX! Meanwhile, let us not forget Bavuma is still at the crease, and has an in-form de Kock for company at the other end! Pulls the short of length delivery from Anderson for a six over midwicket. LIVE CRICKET SCORE: South Africa 223/4 in 78 overs; BATTING: Hashim Amla 96(193), Temba Bavuma 63(137): South Africa are 223 for the loss of four wickets at tea on the penultimate day of the fourth and final Test. Amla has played pretty well and thoroughly deserves to get to his hundred. South Africans are leading by 356 runs now. They will be hoping to stretch their lead to 400 or we may see a declaration after Amla gets to his century.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: South Africa 219/4 in 76 overs; BATTING: Hashim Amla 95(190), Temba Bavuma 60(128):  Hashim Amla is just five short off his century. He has struck 11 fours in his innings. Temba Bavuma batting on 60 is giving Amla good support at the other end. Their partnership is now worth 113 runs and they are leading by 352 runs. Amla is the highest scorer in South Africa’s second innings as of now. He smashed a hundred in the first innings as well. Will he repeat the feat in the second?

Amla is playing some terrific strokes at the moment, despite having injured his thumb yesterday, and getting another blow on his right hand so far on Day Four. Amla and Bavuma are well on their way towards their respective milestones of 25th ton and second fifty. FOUR! Bavuma enters the 40s with a stylish drive towards extra-cover off Woakes. Meanwhile, the partnership between Amla and Bavuma is worth a solid 87 at the moment, and the pair should look to accelerate in the final session of the day today.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: South Africa 158/4 in 60 overs; BATTING: Hashim Amla 68(154), Temba Bavuma 28(68): Play resumes in the second session, with Broad coming in to bowl the first over. FOUR! Bavuma collects three runs off Broad by guiding the length delivery outside off towards backward point. Meanwhile, the South Africans are progressing along at a very slow pace at the moment. It would not come as a surprise if they are playing for a draw. Bavuma however, is increasing the pace at the moment, sweeping a full delivery outside leg from Moeen for a four towards fine-leg, before executing an ambitious pull off the next ball towards midwicket. Takes a single in the same over to bring up the 150 for the hosts.Meanwhile, Bavuma brings up the fifty partnership with Amla with a double after paddling the ball down towards fine-leg.

South Africa looked shaky at a score of 42 for the loss of one wicket against England at stumps on Day Three of the ongoing fourth and final Test at Centurion on Sunday. Stephen Cook and Hashim Amla were batting on 23 and 16 respectively, before the umpires decided that the light was too insufficient for play to progress any further. Dean Elgar was dismissed for a meagre score of 1, extending his poor streak of scores as he edged a short delivery from James Anderson to wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow, with South Africa losing their first wicket with just five runs on board. England were earlier bowled out for a score of 342, thanks to Moeen Ali‘s rearguard innings of 61, as they brought South Africa’s lead down to 133 before getting bowled out.
