Good Morning! Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog session of the Super Six stage of the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers 2017. The match between Sri Lanka Women and Pakistan Women is being played at Nondescripts Cricket Club Ground, Colombo, while the other Super Six game between Bangladesh Women and Ireland Women is being played at the Colombo Cricket Club. The major clash between the toppers of both the groups — India and South Africa will be played at the P Sara Oval. Both India and South Africa have remained unbeaten in the tournament so far.

Sri Lanka, who lost their only game against India, finished at the second spot in Group A, they will face the fellow Sana Mir-led Pakistan, who finished second in Group B. Pakistan had similar fortunes to Sri Lanka as their only defeat came in the hands of the strong Dane van Niekerk-led South African side. Sri Lanka do have the home advantage and have pinned up their hopes on skipper Inoka Ranaweera, who also happens to be their best bowler in the tournament. Meanwhile, in the Pakistan camp skipper Sana Mir and in-form players Ayesha Zafar and Javeria Khan will be expected to shine.

In the other game, both Bangladesh and Ireland have won two games each, and have lost the same number as well. Bangladesh have bowled very well so far.              Jahanara Alam will be expected to take charge along with other key bowlers like Rumana Ahmed and Salma Khatun. Meanwhile, Faranga Hoque has been their best batswoman in this tournament. They will want their other batters to step up.

The Irish girls have not done very well with the bat. Their hopes rest on Isobel Joyce, the left-arm pacer who is also the sister of Irish star cricketer Ed Joyce.
