Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog and updates of the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2015-16 match in the Group B, between Tamil Nadu and Andhra. The match is being played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, and due to the relentless rains in the city on Sunday, not a single delivery was bowled on the second day. Tamil Nadu had done well on the first day of the match to bowl out Andhra for 203, and they are stuck at the score of 0-0 after one over in their reply. There is a strong possibility of this game ending in a draw, but the outcome will depend on how the game progresses on the third day, weather permitting.

Play called off due to rain.

In their first innings, half-centuries by their opening batsman KS Bharat and lower order batsman AG Pradeep helped the Andhra team to put up 203 on board. The Tamil Nadu bowlers did not allow the Andhra batsmen to flourish in their backyard, producing a strong performance with the ball.

Pradeep top-scored for Andhra with 78 runs, which came off 159 balls with the help of six boundaries and a six. Bharat faced 123 balls and scored 56 runs with the help of four boundaries. There were other batsmen in the Andhra team who got starts but failed to convert them into big scores. Ricky Bhui fell for 35 with the help of two fours and as many sixes, whereas Bodavarapu Sudhakar scored 27 lower down the batting order.

For Tamil Nadu, DT Chandrasekar was the leading wickettaker with four wickets for 41 runs in his 21.2 overs, whereas Malolan Rangarajan claimed three wickets for 72 runs.
