TRI 85/2 | Live cricket score, Tripura vs Jammu & Kashmir, Ranji Trophy 2015-16, Group C match, Day 2 at Agartala: Stumps, Tripura trail by 343 runs
Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Day 2 of the Group C game of the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy between Tripura and Jammu & Kashmir, live from Agartala. Tripura’s woes continued, this time at home, as Jammu & Kashmir sent them on an all-day leather-hunting mission. The tourists rode on big innings from captain Mithun Manhas and Parvez Rasool, and finished the day on 303 for 4 after being 58 for 3. Rasool is still at the crease, with Bandeep Singh for company, and is likely to go on another day of bowler-bashing once play resumes today. A score in excess of 500 will put immense pressure on the hosts. Complete coverage of Ranji Trophy 2015-16
Live cricket scores Tripura 85/2 | J&K 428| Overs 42| Batting: Rajib H Saha 34(131), TS Saha 1(2): Tripura lose their second wicket UU Bose for 40 runs. Bose gets out leg-before-wicket on the bowling of Ram Dayal. They are batting on 85/2 at the moment, still a long way to go for them because they still trail by 343 runs. OUT! UU Bose lbw Ram Dayal 40(114)
Live cricket scores Tripura 6/1 | J&K 428| Overs 2| Batting: Rajib H Saha 2(3), UU Bose 0(4): Tripura lose their first wicket Arindam Das for four runs, he is bowled by Ram Dayal. Tripura batters have to bat very well if they want to entertain any thoughts of drawing this match or in a rare case win it. They do not have an experienced and strong batting lineup and hence the pressure is aparent on Rajib H Saha and UU Bose who are at the crease right now. Their body language doesn’t exude positivity; they need to break down their chase in small chunks and score only on lose deliveries. Their primary aim right now should be to bat out the first hour without losing any wicket. OUT! Arindam Das b Ram Dayal 4(5)
Live cricket scores J&K 428| Overs 121.2| Batting: Rohit Sharma 0(0): Tripura bowlers have fought back brilliantly by bowling out the opposition for 428 when they were looking well set to go beyond 500. J&K lost Parvez Rasool early in the morning today. Only Bandeep Singh showed resistance and also went on to score his fifty but no one supported him at the other end. J&K lost their last two wickets for zero runs. AK Sarkar, Mura Singh and Rana Datta picked three wickets each. OUT! Parvez Rasool lbw Rana Datta 130(195), Bandeep Singh b AK Sarkar 63(132), Asif Khan c Sen Choudhury b AK Sarkar 2(11), Ram Dayal c Rajib H Saha b AK Sarkar 12(18), Deepak Manhas lbw Mura Singh 0(4), Umar Nazir c TS Saha b Rajib H Saha 36(54)
Manisankar Murasingh and Rana Dutta, the opening bowlers, did a good job with the new ball. Jammu & Kashmir lost Shubham Khajuria, Imran Haroon, and Ian Dev Singh early, and were reduced to 58 for 3 after 23 overs. Things, however, took a different course once Rasool joined Manhas: the pair plundered runs at good pace, putting up 207 at 3.89 an over. Manhas (96 in 192 balls, 13 fours) was eventually caught-behind off Murasingh, but Bandeep put up a brave fight to help Rasool (129 not out in 178 balls, 18 fours, 3 sixes) reach his hundred and take the score past the 300-mark.
