Catch Live Scorecard of the fourth ODI between UAE vs Afghanistan

(Will UAE claim the series here with a win or will Afghanistan strike back to tie the series ? Catch live cricket scores of the third ODI here)

THAT’S IT!!!!!! UAE win by 30 runs and take series 3-1. Brilliant gameplay by both the teams. Tough luck for Afghanistan as they have fought well in each game but couldn’t deliver the knock-out punch whereas UAE have showed a brilliant display of cricket and are sure to improve in the coming years to challenge the top cricketing teams in the world.
OUT! Shafiqullah 27(23) st Saqlain Haider b Rohan Mustafa, Mirwais Ashraf 29(34) lbw b Kamran Shazad, Hamid Hassan 6(6) c Ahmed Raza b Kamran Shazad, Shapoor Zadran 6(11) c Karate b Mohammad Naveed

IT’S DOWN TO SIX!! Afghnistan have lost six in the next 10 overs as Ashraf and Shafiqullah are the current batsman who have to make sure that Afghanistan achieve the target from here. Stanikzai missed out on a half-century by nine runs while Nabi and Shenwari were dismissed for cheap.
OUT! Mohammad Nabi 23(43) c Amjad Ali b Karate, Asghar Stanikzai 41(67) b Rohan Mustafa, Samiullah Shenwari 1(4) lbw b Rohan Mustafa

Another good nine overs for Afghanistan as the batsmen Nabi and Stanikzai make sure that they don’t give up their wickets and put up a good partnership for the fourth-wicket. They still need 132 runs off the remaining 20 overs with seven wickets intact and safe in their bags.

THREE DOWN!!!!! Aghanistan are having a hard time to chase it down as they lose three wickets in 20 overs. Nawroz Mangal missed out on a hlaf-century by just two runs as he was dismissed for 48 by Fahad Alhashmi after being caught by him.
OUT! Nawroz Mangal 48(47) c& b Fahad Alhashmi, Afsar Zazai 14(33) b Fahad Alhashmi

OUT!!!!!! Javed Ahmadi is the first man to be dismissed as he gets caught to Saqib Ali off Kamran Shahzad. While Mangal and Zazai take control of the game as both are playing quite brilliantly with Mangal nearing his half-century.
OUT! Javed Ahmadi 1(6) c Saqib Ali b Kamran Shazad

UAE losing a deluge of wickets at the death! Three wickets in the last five overs. Final over of the innings coming up.  And nine runs off it so UAE reach a challenging total. Afghanistan will need to bat really well to score these 258 runs.
OUT! Naveed c Shenwari b Nabi 20(14), Haider c Dawlat Zadran b Hamid 29(38), Alhashmi b Hamid 0(1)

UAE lose a big wicket. Anwar departs for an excellent 50 off 52 balls. That brings in Mohammad Naveed. Just five overs to go, and with two set batsmen a big total is on the cards.
OUT! S Anwar c Nawroz b Nabi 50(52)

UAE have an ideal platform from which to launch their final assault. With nine overs left in the innings, they are touching 200. One feels that a 250-run target will be tough to chase down by the low-on-confidence Afghan side.

UAE are now five down, all their good work is undone. Karate and Rohan Mustafa are both back in the hut, and they will need to really dig deep in order to get to a big score.
OUT! Karate lbw b Hamid 43(72), Rohan Mustafa c Zazai b Hamid 5(7)

UAE are stable, with both Berenger and Karate batting well at the moment. OH HE’S GOT HIS MAN! Berenger out for a well-made 66, Shenwari gets the breakthrough!
OUT! Berenger c Mirwais b Shenwari 66(72)

These batsmen have really slowed down. Perhaps the lack of Khurram Khan in the batting line-up is making them a bit overly cautious. They are in a good position though, and with Berenger still out there they can cut loose at any time.

UAE have lost a couple of wickets, but these two are looking good in the middle. Andri Berenger especially is looking quite positive. Karate has been promoted up the order.
OUT! Saqib lbw b Hamid 6(14)

So Andri Berenger and Amjad Ali come out to open the innings for UAE. AND HE’S GONE! Dawlat Zadran takes the first wicket, it’s Amjad Ali! Shapoor Zadran takes the catch, and UAE are one down.
OUT! A Ali c Shapoor b Dawlat 3(12)

Toss: Afghanistan won the toss and elected to Field.

Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s coverage of the fourth One-Day Intentional (ODI) between UAE and Afghanistan at Dubai on Tuesday. The hosts are leading the series 2-1, and will be looking to win the series today. I am Shiamak Unwalla, and I will be bringing you live updates of this match.

The two micro-minnows of world Cricket, UAE and Afghanistan, will lock horns in what will be a deciding contest. Afghanistan scrapped through by the skin of their teeth in the previous ODI to keep the series alive.  UAE may come to rue the numerous opportunities they had to close the series then and there. But the voyeuristic cricket fan will be thrilled to see the two teams slug it out in the last ODI with the series still on the line.

UAE have looked the better of the two sides holistically. It’s only fair that they lead two-one. Their captain Khurram Khan has led the way with two noteworthy half centuries and a smashing hundred which saw him break into the record books in the second ODI. UAE, though, must guard against over dependence on their skipper and would like the top order to chip in or even emulate Khan’s efforts in order to seal the deal.

Teams:

UAE: Amjad Ali, Andri Berenger, Khurram Khan (c), Mohammad Shahzad, Krishnachandran Karate, Shaiman Anwar, Mohammad Naveed, Nasir Aziz, Saqlain Haider, Rohan Mustafa and Fahad Alhashmi.

Afghanistan: Nawroz Mangal, Afsar Zazai (wk), Mohammad Nabi (c), Samiullah Shenwari, Asghar Stanikzai, Shapoor Zadran, Dawlat Zadran, Javed Ahmadi, Mirwais Ashraf, Shafiqullah Shafiq and Farid Malik.
