Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the third day of the Ranji Trophy 2015-16 Group B fixture between Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Railways at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Ghaziabad on Saturday. UP ended the second day after reaching a score of 169 for 2, with Tanmay Srivastava and Mohammad Saif batting on 75 and 5 respectively. It was another day of the bat dominating the proceedings, with Ranjit Mali taking both the wickets for a price of 61 runs. The innings was given a strong impetus between Srivastava and Almas Shaukat, who was dismissed after scoring 76 off 188 deliveries. Faiz who was the second highest scorer for the visitors now has joined Singh on the crease. Ashish Singh led the way among the Railways batsmen with a fine century (101 off 188 deliveries), which included 11 fours and two sixes. He faced ample support from the rest of the Railways top-order, with Faiz Ahmed (74), Arindam Ghosh (50), Saurabh Wakaskar (43) and Prashant Awasthi (42) making vital contributions towards the score. Kuldeep Yadav topped the bowling charts for UP with figures of 3 for 64.
