Vidarbha got off to a wonderful start with openers making a hundred run opening stand.Haryana did a comeback of sort with picking up 3 early wickets with Vidarbha at 142. He scored 126 in 266 balls before Jayant Yadav trapped him leg before wicket. Meanwhile, these two batsman look good, Vidarbha will want to stick around to ensure a huge first innings total.

An opening stand of 116 by Aditya Shanware and Faiz Fazal gave a perfect start for Vidarbha after winning the toss, Shanware fell on 55 to Bishnoi his first wicket of the day. Vidarbha then had mini collapse from 116 – 142 to four. Fazal continued his good form for the team notching up his 10th first-class century against Haryana.  Wasim Jaffer (41) and Jitesh Sharma (30) provided good support to Fazal helped Vidarbha get past 250. Harshal Patel and Jitesh Sharma were the stand out bowlers for the day picking two wickets apiece. Captain Subramaniam Badrinath fell cheaply for 6 to Harshal Patel. Haryana would bank on their bowlers to pick up the remaining four wickets as early as possible. Fazal was eventually out on the very last ball of the day as Vidarbha at end of day’s play was placed at 284 for six.
