Live Cricket Scorecard: Australia vs West Indies 2015-16, 3rd Test at Sydney, Day 4

Denesh Ramdin and Kemar Roach will resume their innings on Day Four after the third day was abandoned with a ball being bowled due to rain in the ongoing third Test between Australia and West Indies. The visitors were 248 for 7 at the end of third day. The hosts have won the 3-match Test series with wins in Hobart and Adelaide. Since only two days are left in the third Test with Australia still yet to bat, a result looks unlikely. The only chance of a result seems to be some creative declarations from rival captains Steve Smith and Jason Holder, but Windies coach Phil Simmons said the weather would have the final say.  Live Cricket Scorecard: Australia vs West Indies 2015-16, 3rd Test at Sydney

“I think we need to see how much play we get tomorrow first,” Simmons told reporters. West Indies opener Kraigg Brathwaite who scored 85 from 174 balls is their top-scorer in the game so far with. The other Brathwaite, Carlos, once again was impressive scoring a decent 69 off 71 deliveries he had faced. The 7 wickets were shared between Australia’s Nathan Lyon, James Pattinson, Josh Hazlewood and Steve O’Keefe.

While the Test team struggles, Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Darren Sammy and Andre Russell are in Australia but playing in the Twenty20 Big Bash League. “I still have the feeling that it will always be good to get the best players from the West Indies playing all formats of the game,” Simmons said.

“If we can get that, then we will have an organisation that is moving forward. That is my hope now, at the end of the day we might have a solution but we still might have players that might not think they can play Test cricket, or might not really want to play Test cricket anymore. So when we get to that solution between the parties that are involved then we can see where that takes us,”he added.
