A confident Bangladesh team yet again face their visitors Zimbabwe in the second of the three One-Day Internationals at Mirpur on November 9. Iqbal departed for 40 but Rahim stayed in the crease and hit a 109 balls 107 that included nine fours and a six. Another important innings was that of Sabbir Rahman who scored 57 runs off 58 balls as Bangladesh approached towards their final total of 273 for 9. Chasing the total, Zimbabwe batsmen failed as none of them could reach the 50 run benchmark. The only two mentionable contributions came from Luke Jongwe ( 39 off 51) and skipper Elton Chigumbura ( 41 off 51). On the other hand, Bangladeshi bowler Mashrafe Mortaza completed 200 ODI wickets as he picked up Sikandar Raza. With the match win, Bangladesh will be high on confidence while Zimbabwe need to forget about it and start afresh.
