The fourth One-Day International (ODI) of seven-match series against Sri Lanka will be held in north-west of New Zealand, to the city of Nelson, with the teams level at 1-1. The recent performances of Brendon McCullum‘s men have slowly improved their World Cup stocks from ‘dark horses’ to ‘possible semi-finalists’. Sri Lanka on the other hand also had a decent time in ODIs off-late.

A win in Nelson on Tuesday will not only reinforce the current standings of both teams in World cricket but also give them a crucial lead in the  series. After an indifferent performance in the first ODI, Sri Lanka put up a far better show in Hamilton. A win in Nelson, will mark a good turnaround of fortunes for the Lankans after the drubbing in the Test series.

Weather forecast is very good for this game. A bright and sunny day is expected. After the third ODI got washed out, the seven-match series has now effectively become a six-game series. With both teams tied at 1-1, this game is going to be very important for both the teams.
