The game is being played at the Colombo Cricket Club Ground, Colombo. With India U-19 already getting off to a blazing start to the tournament with a thumping 235-run win over Malaysia, they are expected to rattle Nepal easily. On the other hand, Nepal were unlucky to lose the opener against Sri Lanka by a whisker. They lost by a run and will like to rectify their flaws coming into this game.

Talking about the first game of both sides, India did not put a foot wrong versus Malaysia. Winning the toss, India came out to bat and piled up a mammoth score of 289 for 8 in 50 overs.  Prithvi Shaw was the top-scorer with an attacking 89 off 79 balls. Apart from him, skipper Abhishek Sharma and Het Patel also added fifties to their score to put Malaysia under the mat. In reply, Malaysia were all out for 54 with Kamlesh Nagarkoti grabbing four wickets whereas Yash Thakur and Abhishek finished with two wickets apiece.

Nepal, on the other hand, won the toss in their previous game over Sri Lanka and opted to bowl. They were disciplined with the ball and restricted their opponents to 227 for 8. Nonetheless, Nepal faltered in the chase falling short by one run. Dipendra Singh scored 90 but could not take his side past the finish line. They will have their task cut out against a well settled Indian side to get off the mark in the tournament.
