Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Ranji Trophy 2017-18 quarter-finals. We will be updating you with live scores and updates from India’s premier domestic tournament. Over the past two months, teams have fought intensely and only eight top sides made it to this stage. Day One wasn’t short of action and Day Two promises more.

At Jaipur: Put into bat, defending champions Gujarat had Bengal in the mat, reducing them to 261 for 6 on Day One. Bengal were struggling at 59 for 4 when Abhimanyu Easwaran (129) and Anustup Majumder (94) harboured the side to safety with a 185-run stand.

At Vijaywada: Delhi put Madhya Pradesh to bat, and reduced them to 223 for 6. MP kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Opener and wicketkeeper batsman Ankit Dane top-scored with 57. The side have their hopes pinned on Harpreet Singh, who is batting on 47.

At Surat: Cyclone Ockhi came in cricket’s way at Suraj. Only one session was possible. Vidarbha elected to bat and found themselves reeling at 45 for 3 at stumps against first-time quarterfinalist Kerala.

At Nagpur: Now to the battle of heavyweights, the most high-profile clash of all. Mumbai meekly surrendered in front of Karnataka’s might as they folded for 173. Vinay Kumar, playing his 100th First-Class match for Karnataka, claimed a hat-trick (for the second time in career). Karnataka were cruising at 115 for 1 at stumps and guess what, Mayank is batting on 62.
