94 mins: FULL-TIME! Portugal 1 – 1 Iceland. Fourth free-kick for Portugal in the last couple of minutes. Ronaldo again to take it. It hits the wall and referee blows the final whistle a couple of seconds later. What a result for Iceland, the smallest nation to play Euro. They managed to hold a star-studded Portugal at a draw. Excellent stuff from the minnows.

82 mins: CLOSEEEE! Free kick for Portugal. Ronaldo drills it from 40 yards out, which is touches an Iceland defender. Corner for Portugal. Ricardo Quaresma takes it, Pepe collects it near the centre of the box but his shot goes above the roof.

Portugal’s 20 shots is the most by a team at Euro 2016 so far. However, one goal off those shots though.

73 mins: Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s frustration is seen rocketing here. Desperate to have his name on the scoreline. He has his shot, goes forward to the edge of the box and shoots but the ends safely over the bars. That saved any efforts from the Iceland goalkeeper.

50 mins: GOALLLLLLL! Wow, just wow! FIRST ICELANDIC GOAL IN A MAJOR TOURNAMENT. Iceland score on their debut. Equaliser just 5 mins into the second half. Regardless of the result, B. Bjarnason is the hero of Iceland today!

48 mins: Ronaldo doesn’t waste time, his first shot at the goal in the second half. He collects a high ball at the edge of the box, but doesn’t end it well. His left-footed shoot from a yard goes wide.

Second half goes underway!

45 mins: HALF TIME! Iceland’s Aron Gunnarsson launches a long throw into the Portugal box but it was certainly easy for VfL Wolfsburg’s winger to jump and head it away. That was the last act before referee blows the whistle.

30 mins: GOALLLLLLLL! Portugal 1 – 0 Iceland! Andre Gomes assists it, Nani finishes it making no mistake near post. The crowd erupts, they knew this moment was not far away!!

26 mins: Pepe sets up an easy goal for Ronaldo. He launches the straight ball forward and in reply Ronaldo fails to connect the ball well when he shot it in air.

23 mins: Ronaldo seems threatening for the first time this evening. He receives a cross, collects it well as he strikes it but fails to hit the target. Iceland will be aware of this: This was just one-off, more to come from the Portuguese skipper.

18 mins: Another SAVE from the Iceland goalie! Portugal right-back Vieirinha, no off-side, cuts in from the right as he strikes from outside the box, it goes from above the head of the goalkeeper who punches it in air and collects at a second attempt.

15 mins: More than 15 minutes into the match and Portugal skipper Cristiano Ronaldo has had only 5 touches so far. Frustration visible on the Real Madrid forward’s face.

6 mins: Portugal’s chance! Former Manchester United winger Nani shoots a header that goes straight in the hands of Iceland goalie. Corner for Portugal. Joao Moutinho gives a shot at the goal. again into the hands of the Iceland goalkeeper Hannes Halldorsson.

4 mins: THAT WAS CLOSEEEE! No, not Portugal. It was Iceland’s chance. By an early encounter, Iceland have given out the message loud and clear to Ronaldo and Co. that they are here to battle out in the game and not just get borrowed under Ronaldo’s dominance. Iceland’s Gylfi Sigurdsson picks the ball at the left of the post and shoots directly, but is immediately stopped by Rui Patricio. The mid-fielder gets a rebound but once again strikes at the goalkeeper.

We are moments away from the kick off! One-sided game expected?
