  • 11:35 PM IST

Yes bank Maximum Award: Rohit Sharma

  • 11:24 PM IST

Jasprit Bumrah’s final over: Dhawan remains unbeaten on 62 and Shankar plays the winning shot with a clean boundary. So SRH win by 7 wickets with 10 deliveries to spare. SRH keep their hopes alive while DD are out of the playoffs.

  • 11:22 PM IST

Mitchell McClenaghan’s final over: Couple of runs and SRH need 9 to win off 17 balls. If SRH win this, DD are out of the league for playoffs. Singles are enough for Dhawan and Shankar to avoid wickets at this stage. Another fine over by McClenaghan in the death over. 4 to win now. Single to end the over.

  • 11:16 PM IST

Lasith Malinga’s final over: Begins on a good notw. The pressure is back on the batsmen. So a wicket was signalled by Parthiv and now wide. Ghosh, that was close. Another missed chance with ball beyond Pollard’s reach. Ends with 8 runs.

  • 11:11 PM IST

Jasprit Bumrah’s third over: Warner is seen given some advices to Chris Jordan. Completely animated. The pressure is mouting on SRH now, despite being 5 runs ahead. Dhawan will clearly be the match-winner here. Just 8 off the over.

  • 11:07 PM IST

  • 11:05 PM IST

Lasith Malinga’s third over: Dhawan gets the much-needed single taking him to fifty. Yuvraj has to go and he can now cure his finger. Hardik takes a comfortable catch. Vijay Shankar is the new man on crease. The case will now lie on Dhawan.

  • 10:59 PM IST

Mitchell McClenaghan’s third over: Yuvraj is getting his finger tested and he is good to go. Dhawan is already on 49. SRH would not mind those extras coming their way. Short ball for Yuvraj and he shackles it for a boundary. SRH need 34 to win. Another couple of runs and 10 runs off this over.

  • 10:50 PM IST

Jasprit Bumrah’s second over: And after multiple attempts, a wicket of Henqirues for 47 and 91-run stand breaks. MI are not celebrating because they know the game has pretty much gone out of their hands. Who would be their next call? So crowd favourite Yuvraj Singh is on the crease. But the finger is not going well, Yuvraj still struggling with it. The momentum is slightly dropping. Warner is looking happy at the moment. That smile is just widening. Williamson looks upon. Dot to end.

  • 10:45 PM IST

Harbhajan Singh’s final over: Warner is gleaming with happiness. Henriques and Dhawan have handled things well. Bowlers have done their task. What more does a skipper need! That wicket was there just there, but it was just shortish! MI are not getting that wicket needed. Second time now.

  • 10:41 PM IST

Lasith Malinga’s second over: He was expensive in the first, what does he have now? There seems to be no luck with wickets. Nothing going right for MI. SRH are just inching closer to victory with consecutive boundaries. Henriques also joins the party with runs. Early finish expected off this match.

  • 10:40 PM IST

  • 10:36 PM IST

Harbhajan Singh’s third over: The run rate is well under comtrol, runs are flowing and the target is as equal to taking singles. SRH has everything under check. A boundary from Dhawan that needs precision and he does get it. Single to end the over.

  • 10:32 PM IST

Karn Sharma’s second over: Chance of a wicket here. Appeal made and being reviewed. That is not out Both the batsmen are on similar scores of 31. Everything is going the right way for SRH. Dhawan now goes for another maximum towards long on. SRH need just 64 now to win. This is getting easy-peasy. Single to end.

  • 10:29 PM IST

Hardik Pandya’s first over: So Hardik begins with with single. 86 needed of 76, SRH can just handle this with singles. They have Yuvraj and Nabi left to come. Henriques is on aroll, gets another boundary stitching 50-run stand for second wicket between these two. Another racing towards boundary but will get three from it. This is the over that can change the course of the game for SRH. MI bowlers facing tough time. Fina;=l ball and boundary again. 13 off it.

  • 10:24 PM IST

Karn Sharma’s first over: He was good with the first and the first maximum from SRH by Dhawan. The chase is getting easier for SRH. And just noticed, Henriques is without a helmet, some daring here. Bounced back well. Dot to finish

  • 10:18 PM IST

Mitchell McClenaghan’s second over: So MI are going with McClenaghan after he got his first. But this time no luck and Henriques is looking to finish off things soon. The crowd is suddenly live after being silent the entire first innings. They were chanting for ‘Warner, Warner’ but he had to go for 5. SRH are already reaching the 50-run mark, can they get there withing the Power Play? Dot to finish.

  • 10:14 PM IST

Jasprit Bumrah’s first over: Bumrah was going all fine and then suddenly Henriques flicks for his first boundary through the covers. Another excellent boundary from Henriques, SRH have found their big over. 10 already from it. Final delivery and dot to end.

  • 10:10 PM IST

Harbhajan Singh’s second over: Begins with a couple. Nice steady innings going for SRH. With new beginnings for SRH, both batsmen taking a bit time to adjust in terms of when the singles need to be taken. They will have to be cautious after fall of wicket. 5 from it.

  • 10:06 PM IST
Lasith Malinga’s first over: SRH might target Malinga who has not had a great outing this season. Henriques gets a couple. That was a good looking flick but Hardik at the deep square leg. MI have played such low scores and defended them this season. Can they do it again is the question? SRH would not mid these singles as the target is not that big enough and as long as the wickets are intact. Now that boundary can do wonders for SRH. Another towards the the same line but just couple to end the over.
  • 10:01 PM IST
Mitchell McClenaghan’s first over: So after spin, pace called into attack. And guess what, McClenaghan is off the mark with a big wicket of Warner. He has done it previously with the first ball and now once again. Warner walks back disappointed. So Moises Henriques is called at No.3. SRH might be missing Kane Williamson now. Nabi is there as well. Yuvraj is there in contention. It is going to be tough task for Dhawan and Henriques now. McClenaghan bowling round the wicket in the final delivery. Just 3 from it and a wicket.
  • 9:57 PM IST

  • 9:55 PM IST

Harbhajan Singh’s first over: Spin to begin with and Warner tries to reverse sweep it. An appeal that made no sense at all. Warner does not wait he smashes the next for a boundary towards cover. With the single, Dhawan is on strike. Quickly running for a single, that was a risky one there. SRH can just go about with the singles.

  • 9:51 PM IST

  • 9:37 PM IST
Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s final over: Bhuvi wants to hold the Purple Cap with him and gets Pollard. He was out sorts today, MI will have tough time to defend this total. It is fresh start for MI. Harbhajan will be the man to enter now. MI would not mind those extras coming their way. Wide off the second. But dot follows after that. That is not what a wicketkeeper does. A couple for MI. Slaps and tries for a boundary, brings Karn Sharma into strike. Two more to go. Can they cross 140-run mark here? Bhuvneshwar ends with his 23rd wicket of this season. Karn Sharma has to go for 5. McClenaghan gets a couple off the final delivery. So SRH need 139 to win after a splendid bowling. Can MI defend this total?
  • 9:34 PM IST

  • 9:30 PM IST

Siddarth Kaul’s final over: Slower ball from Kaul and just when Rohit got his highest score in IPL, he goes for 67. Now enters Karn Sharma. The responsibility will be Pollard now to build the runs. Pollard is not getting those runs. After bowling so well a boundary to end the over.

  • 9:24 PM IST

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s third over: After getting a couple, Rohit wants to gi big. He just picked it perfectly for another maximum and Rohit gets to his highest score this season. This innings could probably save MI? Unless the bowlers do their task well. A wide and another over that MI needed.

  • 9:19 PM IST

Rashid Khan’s final over: A clean over b y both the Afghan bowlers. Rashid has conceded just 2 from his final over and ends with 1 for 22.

Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of match 48 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will take on table-toppers Mumbai Indians (MI) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. This is Shruti Hariharan, and I will bring you live cricket scores and updates from this contest. After consecutive setbacks versus Delhi Daredevils (DD) and Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS), SRH will like to tick all the boxes and move a step closer to the playoffs berth. On the other hand, MI are keen on finishing in the top 2 so that they can get an extra game if things fall apart. Full Cricket Scorecard, Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians, IPL 2017, Match 48

SRH have been good with the bat. David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan, Kane Williamson and Yuvraj Singh have been their top performers, but the middle order has to step up in the business end of the tournament. Naman Ojha, Deepak Hooda and Moises Henriques have not done anything extraordinary with the long handle and will like to come good soon. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan will continue to spearhead the bowling line-up and try to cause some upsets in the opposition camp.

On the other hand, MI have performed in tough situations and clicked as a unit. Their only two defeats have come against the same side, that is, RPS and will like to make it two in two against SRH this season. SRH are coming on the back of their first defeat at home, and MI will like to make the most of this opportunity.

Rohit Sharma’s form is the only cause of concern for the visitors. Mitchell McClenaghan, Harbhajan Singh, Pandya brothers and Jasprit Bumrah will be the key players for the No. 1 ranked side.
