India reached 161 for 5in their allotted 20 overs during their T20 practice match against Leicestershire on Monday.
Put into bat by Leicestershire captain Matthew Hoggard, openers Parthiv Patel and Ajinkya Rahane got India off to a blistering start.
Both of them stitched a 50 run partnership in just five overs before Rahane was dismissed by Abdul Razzaq.
After Rahane’s departure, the host clawed back into the match with quick wickets.
Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma tried to stabilise the Indian innings before Dravid fell to for 29.
Rohit and skipper Suresh Raina ensures that India reached a respectable score in the end.
Joshua Cobb was the pick of the bowlers for the host with figures of 2 for 22.
