The start of the practice match between India and Sussex was delayed by 45 minutes due to rain. The match started at 3.30 IST. India skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to field.

 

After the humiliating drubbing in the Test series at the hands of England, India would aim to end their misery when they take on Sussex.

 

India lost their numero uno status in Test, but the world champions would look to salvage their pride. And the match against Sussex will be crucial going into the five-match ODI series to begin from August 31st.

 

Though India lost Zaheer Khan and Virender Sehwag to injuries, Praveen Kumar and Gautam Gambhir have recovered and will be available for the ODI series.
