The hosts scored 193 for three on Day One thanks to Tamim Iqbal’s unbeaten 74 with Shakib al Hasan on 13 at the other end. The win in the first match was only Bangaldesh’s fifth Test victory in 86 tries since earning Test status in 2000. Catch the live blog of the match here.

They last triumphed at home when they won by 226 runs against the same opponents in Chittagong in 2005. Bangladesh’s two series victories so far were the 1-0 win against Zimbabwe at home in 2005 and a 2-0 success over a boycott-hit West Indies in the Caribbean in 2009.
