Pakistan and New Zealand will slug it out in the One-Day International (ODI) leg of the series in UAE with the first match in Dubai. The ODis begin on the back of an absorbing Test series and two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) which were just as gripping.

The two teams have been neck and neck hitherto. Kane Williamson will continue to lead New Zealand in the absence of Brendon Mccullum, where as Misbah-Ul-Haq returns at the helm of affairs for Pakistan after a well deserved break. Pakistan’s batting arsenal will bolstered with the return of veteran Younis Khan, but the ban on Mohammad Hafeez’s bowling will affect Pakistan’s team combination massively. Mohammad Hafeez was reported for an illegal bowling action for a second time, which automatically barres him from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect. He may still play as a batsman though.
