Pakistan will face New Zealand on Day 2 of the second Test at Dubai on Tuesday. Visitors New Zealand put in a great performance on Day 1 and were 243 for 3, at the end of day’s play. Tom Latham scored an unbeaten century and he will be expected to inflict further damage on Day 2 also.

The day clearly belonged to young opener Latham. The application and temperament shown by him was truly incredible. First along with McCullum, the young left-hander helped his team get off to a steady start. After his skipper got out, he stuck on and gave no chance to the hosts to make a comeback on the game. He put another fifty-plus stand with Williamson for the second wicket and brought up his fifty in the process. Finally with Ross Taylor also he featured in a 73 runs partnership for the third wicket. The 22 years old left hander from Canterbury brought up his second Test hundred in the third session of the day. At stumps he remained not out on 137.
