Bangladesh will face West Indies on Day 2 of the first Test match at St Vincent. Prior to the Test  match, West Indies had won  the three-match ODI series 3-0, but had lost a Test series at home to New Zealand. Bangladesh, on the other hand, have had an ordinary 2014 and will look to justify their ‘Test playing nation’ status.

West Indies finished day one of the first Test against Bangladesh at St Vincent at 264 for three. 87 overs of play were possible in the day and the hosts made the full use of it. The highlight of the day for West Indies was their opener Kraigg Brathwaite‘s second Test ton. He remained not out on 124 with Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who came to crease just before rain stopped play for the day.
