The bilateral series between Zimbabwe and Afghanistan is an opportunity for both nations to get a confidence booster ahead of the bigger challenges that lie before them. For Zimbabwe, this will be the first ODI they will be playing in 10 months after a series of cancelled tours and financial troubles.

For Afghanistan, this is their first ever bilateral meeting with a Test-playing nation. Afghanistan will also be playing two tour games against Zimbabwe’s A side.
