Opener Adrian Barath and Kirk Edwards led West Indies fight back as they reached 116 for one at tea after being asked to follow-on on the third day of the second Test.

Barath, who failed to impress in the first innings on his return, looked lot more positive and took the attack to Indian bowlers after the Caribbean side was dismissed for 153 in the first innings against India at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Barath hit 10 boundaries during his unbeaten innings of 62, which came from 101 balls. He was ably supported by Edwards, who is batting on 43 off 76 balls.

Barath and Edwards have put up an unbeaten 93 run stand for the second wicket.

Umesh Yadav claimed the only wicket which fell in West Indies second innings of Kraigg Brathwaite.

West Indies were trailing by 478 runs in the first innings.
