Darren Bravo scored his second ton of the series as West Indies reached 378 for three at lunch on day two of the third Test at Wankhede in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Bravo made his intentions clear from the first over of the day as he looked to accelerate the scoring.

The left-handed batsman was unbeaten on 105 from 169 balls (12×4)

West Indies, starting the day at the overnight score 267, added 111 in the first session.

Kirk Edwards (86) was the only batsman to depart in the morning.

Edwards and Bravo put up a 165-run stand for the third wicket before Ishant Sharma bagged his first wicket of the match.

Bravo was accompanied by Kieran Powell, who is batting on 38 when lunch was called.

On day one, West Indies put up a much-improved batting display and rode on two century partnerships to lay the foundation for a mammoth first innings total.

Down 0-2 in the three-match series after having lost the first two matches in Delhi and Kolkata, the visitors took full advantage of captain Darren Sammy’s luck with the toss and made optimum use of the good batting conditions to rake up a healthy-looking 267 for two at close on the opening day.

Brief Scores: West Indies 378 for 3 (Darren Bravo 105*, Kirk Edwards 86, Kraigg Brathwaite 68, Adrian Barath 62; R Ashwin 2 for 115, ishant Sharma 1 for 53) vs India
