Mayank Yadav set to join LSG in a few weeks
Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has been given a massive relief as pacer Mayank Yadav has begun bowling at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Mayank was taken in by LSG for Rs. 11 crore in the mega-auction, and is seen as one of the biggest prospect for India, but his career has seen a lot of injuries. He has been out of action since October 2024 and is going to miss the first phase of IPL 2025.
Mayank stole headlines for his pace. However, he could only play for the franchise in IPL 2024 before he got ruled out because of injuries. The limited games where he played were enough to attract the attention of selectors who called him up for his T20I debut in the home series against Bangladesh.
“Mayank has already started to bowl and looking good to play in the IPL in a few weeks time,” a source told My Khel.
