‘Lucky to have you…’: Sachin Tendulkar shares heartfelt birthday wish as son Arjun turns 26

Sachin Tendulkar, India’s legendary batsman, sent a heartfelt birthday greeting to his son Arjun, who plays domestic cricket for Goa and turned 26 on September 24.

Sachin took to X account and wrote about how lucky they are to have a son like him, “We are lucky to have you as our son. To watch you grow into the amazing human being that you are has been a joy. We are so proud of you. Happy birthday, Arjun!! May God bless you always.”

Sachin has actively monitored Arjun’s progress as a cricketer, even serving as a consultant for his son’s IPL team, the Mumbai Indians.

Arjun is a left-handed bowler and is also known for his decent batting. He has played a total of 17 first-class matches so far, and has picked 37 wickets. In List A cricket, he has taken 25 wickets in 18 matches. In the Indian Premier league he plays for Mumbai Indians (MI), they bought him for his base price of ₹20 lakh in 2021 and retained him for ₹30 lakh in 2022.

Arjun featured in four matches during the 2023 IPL season, taking three wickets. He also played one game in the 2024 season. He is yet to break into the national squad.

Arjun recently got engaged to Saaniya Chandhok

Arjun has recently made headlines after becoming engaged to Saaniya Chandhok, a Mumbai-based entrepreneur. Saaniya graduated with a Business Management degree from the London School of Economics in 2020. In 2022, she launched her own pet spa salon in Mumbai, Mr. Paws, which provides pet skincare and grooming. Reports suggest that Sachin Tendulkar confirmed the engagement during a Reddit Q&A session.
