Luke Ronchi and Grant Elliott registered the highest sixth-wicket partnership as they took New Zealand from 93 for five to 360 for five, scoring 267 runs between them in the fifth One-Day International (ODI) played between New Zealand and Sri Lanka at Dunedin. In the end Ronchi went on to score unbeaten 170 runs off just 99 deliveries while his partner Grant Elliott was unbeaten on 104 consuming just 96 balls. It was a gripping innings played by both of them as they took New Zealand out of the danger zone.

The 267-run partnership came from just 180 balls. Ronchi broke his previous highest score 99 in ODIs as he hit nine sixes and 14 boundaries in his innings of 170. His partner also chipped with a brilliant century.
