The Madras High Court rejected a plea from J Mohanraj, general secretary of Jebamani Janata Party in East Abhiramapuram, praying for a direction to the City Police Commissioner to register a case on his complaints against the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) and take necessary action, reported the New Indian Express.

In his complaints dated January 7, 2011 and July 19, 2012, Mohanraj alleged that the TNCA was indulging in cheating the government with regard to the allotment of land for the MA Chidambaram stadium and payment of lease amount. Justice K B K Vasuki noted that the petitioner had raised the same allegations in his earlier petition, which was dismissed by the Court. “In view of the same, the present complaints cannot be entertained in respect of the same cause of action on the basis of the same set of allegations,’’ the judge said.
