Mahmudullah becomes the first Bangladesh player to score a century in the World cup during Bangladesh-England tie in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, Pool A, Match 33 at Adelaide. This is his first century in One-Day Internationals (ODI) as well. Mahmudullah’s record breaking innings comes at a time when his country needed it the most. The highest score prior to this match was by Tamim Iqbal, who scored 95 in their previous match against Scotland. No Bangladesh player has managed to score a century in the World Cups prior to this. Bangladesh will now hope that he gets a big score and Bangladesh closer to 300. He is supported well by Mushfiqur Rahim at the other end, who is batting well on a half-century himself. England had earlier won the toss and elected to bowl first. This is a must win encounter for England and a loss today will knock them out of the tournament immediately regardless of the result against Afghanistan in a few days time. England have gotten Steven Finn and Alex Hales instead of Chris Jordan and Gary Ballance. Bangladesh were forced to make a change by getting in Imrul Kayes instead of the injured Anamul Haque.
