India A were going well as Pandey and Karun Nair had shared a partnership of 48 runs from 52 balls. Mitchell Swepson was continuing, he bowled the second ball of his over on Pandey’s pads. Pandey could not judge the flipper as the ball struck him on pads. The ball went to Sam Heazlett at first slip who took a catch diving towards right. Umpire’s finger went up straightaway to which Pandey expressed his dissent. Pandey felt that the ball had not taken an inside edge and struck him right on the pads as the ball was going down the leg stump.
However, Pandey’s dismissal had no impact on the game’s outcome as India won convincingly against NPS by 86 runs. So far, Pandey has scored a century and a duck in the tournament. India A have made a comeback in the Quadrangular series after a disappointing display of batting in first match.
