Mark Boucher may have to get his left eye removed

South Africa wicketkeeper Mark Boucher may have to get his left eye removed following an injury that forced him to retire from international cricket.
As reported by Daily Mail, a close friend of Boucher said: ‘Even if he keeps the eye, he will see only in black and white. He has already lost 30-40 per cent of the eye and there are no guarantees he will be able to keep the rest of it.’
Boucher suffered an injury when a bail flew into his eyes while he was standing up to Imran Tahir during the first day of the practice match between Somerset and South Africa on Wednesday.
Boucher, 35, retired from international cricket playing 147 Test matches and holding record of effecting 999 international dismissals behind the wicket.
