Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza has taken over country’s best all-around by miles Shakib Al Hasan in terms of number of One-Day International wickets. Mortaza to his name has 216 matches from 166 matches at an average of 30.07. One wicket from this is against Africa XI from 2007 season, where Mortaza was playing for Asia XI. Shakib Al Hasan in 163 matches has 215 wickets at an average of 27.39. Mortaza playing in the third and final ODI match against England picked up 2 -wickets in the form of Jos Buttler who became his 215th scalp, while Moeen Ali became his 216th victim in ODI’s. Third in the list of highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh in ODI’s is Abdur Razzak with 207 wickets from 153 matches. Mohammad Rafique is fourth in the list with 119 wickets way behind the top three. Rubel Hossain completes the top 5 with 88 wickets to his name from 69 games. It was also a day of records for Bangladesh as opener Tamim Iqbal went past 5,000 ODI runs, becoming the only Bangladeshi player to do so.

England came out fighting in the third and the final One-Day International (ODI) of the three-match series and won it by four wickets and 13 balls to spare. With this win, they also sealed the series and have done a commendable job without the services of some of their established players. England team did a collective job in emerging victorious, which will further boost their confidence for the upcoming Test series.
