Khulna Titans pull of a 13-run win against defending champions Comilla Victorians in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2016, Match 11 at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium at Dhaka. This is Comilla Victorians third loss in a row, whereas, Khulna Titans, now have six points from four matches and go top of the BPL 2016 table. Comilla Victorians got off to a good start with Litton Das striking a couple of boundaries in the very first over of the innings, but he played one shot too many and Shuvagata Hom got his man, which brought the experienced Marlon Samuels to the crease in the first over itself. Things were picking up for the Victorians, but fast bowler Junaid Khan removed Imrul Kayes, just when he was looking threatening. Kayes wicket was also Junaid s 100th T20 wicket. After that the runs dried up a bit, but Khulna Titans kept picking up wickets at regular intervals and did not let Comilla Victorians get away. Samuels tried to up the ante, but he too perished for a slow 34-ball 30. From there, comilla Victorians had very little chance to win the match. But Sohail Tanvir and Rashid Khan did get a few boundaries at the end, but Rashid was foolishly run out by the wicketkeeper in the 18th over.

Comilla Victorians needed 24 from the final two overs with three wickets in hand and they fell short. Junaid Khan and Shafiul Islam ensured that Comilla Victorians fall well short of their target.

Comilla Victorians have managed to restrict Khulna Titans to 144 for 9, courtesy of an inspired spell from their skipper Mashrafe Mortaza. Andre Fletcher with 23, Hasanuzzaman with 37 were the top-scorers for Khuna Titans. the Titans got off to an excellent start, having scored 92 for 1 from their opening 10 overs. They managed to add just 52 in their final 10. Earlier, Comilla Victorians had won the toss and elected to bowl first.
