The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is expected to announce the date of its biennial elections on August 12 at its managing committee meeting.

MCA president Ravi Savant had earlier said that the date for the elections would be decided in the managing committee meeting, which was scheduled for Tuesday.

But Tuesday’s meeting was put off to Monday (August 12), according to Joint Secretary Dr P V Shetty.

As per the MCA’s memorandum of rules and regulations the announcement needs to be made 44 days prior to the election date, and could now be held not before September 24.
