Misbah-ul-Haq scored his eighth Test century when he got to his ton against New Zealand in the first Test at Abu Dhabi. The right-hander scored his third consecutive Test ton, after earlier scoring the fastest ever Test century against Australia in the last game. This was also the first time that the top five batsmen in a team crossed 80 in the same innings.

Misbah, the Pakistani skipper, reached his fifty on  the second day of the opening Test against New Zealand at Abu Dhabi on Monday. His innings contained five boundaries and one six. He earlier against the Australians had equalled the record for the fastest century in Test. He’s shown aggressive intent here too.  With his team almost near 500 he could go hammer and tongs.
