Mitchell Starc hogged limelight on Day Four of the third Ashes Test at Perth with his ball of the Ashes . With rain and wet pitch delaying start of play on final day, Australia received worrying news that Starc has suffered a bruised heel.

Starc will be available to bowl on the fifth day as Australia try to regain the Ashes urn. His participation in the Boxing Day Test at Melbourne is now doubtful.

Speaking to the official broadcaster, Coach Darren Lehmann said, “Not too bad, a bit sore. We ll just have to wait for the end of the game and assess him. I thought he bowled unbelievable well last night, got the ball reversing to get that wicket of Vince, so we ll see how he goes.”

The final day at Perth has already created quite uproar with water leaking onto the pitch. There seems to be a damp spot on it, just outside the popping crease at the southern end. WACA ground staff are working furiously with leaf blowers to dry it out. It was unclear how the water got through the covers onto the pitch.
