MS Dhoni becomes 4th to 400 ODI dismissals

Lighting fast behind and between the wickets, even at the age of 36, MS Dhoni achieves yet another feat, pulling off 400 ODI dismissals as wicketkeeper. Before India played South Africa in the opening ODI, Dhoni had 398 dismissals after his name. He has now in the elite company of Kumar Sangakkara (482), Adam Gilchrist (472) and Mark Boucher (424) to become only the fourth cricketer and first Indian to 400 wicketkeeping dismissals.
Dhoni achieved his 400th dismissal in the third ODI of the series. Dhoni stumped Aiden Markram, who came down the track against Kuldeep Yadav. His 399th dismissal came at Centurion, when he caught Hashim Amla off Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

The next Indian in the list of most ODI dismissals is Nayan Mongia, who has 154 dismissals from 140 ODIs. Dhoni is also close to completing 10,000 ODI runs. Before the ODI series, Dhoni had 9,898 ODI runs and needs 102 to reach the numbers. He will be the 12th cricketer to do so.
