MS Dhoni becomes the first player in the history of Test cricket to hit 50 sixes as captain. He was at par with Brian Lara with 49 sixes. Third on the list is another West Indian captain Clive Lloyd. He has got 48 sixes to his name who is followed by another captain from the Caribbean, Vivian Richards, who hit 46 sixes. It is not surprising that in the list of top ten captains there are five West Indians — the most surprising entry being that of Darren Sammy.
Ricky Ponting featured at number five in the list, followed by Chris Gayle, Imran khan, Darren Sammy, Hansie Cronje and Misbah-ul-Haq respectively. Sourav Ganguly is the second Indian captain after Dhoni, ranked 20th in the list. He has 17 sixes to his name.
