India‘s limited overs skipper MS Dhoni became the first and only skipper to won five major cricketing tournaments, as India won the Asia Cup T20 2016, by taming Bangladesh by five wickets at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka on Sunday. Dhoni, in the process has now won tournaments such as ICC World T20, ICC Cricket World Cup, ICC Chmapions Trophy, Asia Cup and Asia Cup T20. It was aslo India’s sixth Asia Cup title. With this win, Dhoni would now aim for double swoop in the upcoming ICC World T20 2016, set to get underway in India from March 8. Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, and MS Dhoni masterminded an ice-cool chase as India beat Bangladesh by 8 wickets to win the final of Asia Cup T20 2016 at Mirpur. The match was shortened to 15 overs per side after rain delayed the start, and India’s target was 121 in 15 overs. Rohit Sharma, Man of the Match for India against Bangladesh in the tournament opener, was out for just 1 off 5 balls to put India on the back foot early. Rohit was out edging the impressive Al-Amin Hossain to Soumya Sarkar for slip. Dhawan, short of runs in Asia Cup 2016, ended up scoring a tremendous 44-ball 60 to lead India’s chase. It looked like the chase would go into the final over, but Dhoni came in and finished the match with 7 balls to spare. It was India’s sixth Asia Cup title — the most for any country. To Bangladesh’s credit, it was far from an easy win for India.
