MS Dhoni slams fastest fifty in Champions League T20

Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni raced away to the fastest fifty in the history of Champions League T20 in the match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at Ranchi. Dhoni brought up his fifty off just 16 deliveries, enthralling his home crowd with a barrage of sixes.

In the process, he also slammed 34 runs off Thisara Perera’s over which is the highest number of runs scored in an over in the tournament.

He beat the previous best of 50 from 18 balls by Kieron Pollard who scored it while representing Trinidad and Tobago against the New South Wales in the 2009 edition of the tournament.

Dhoni finished on 63 off 19 balls, an innings laced with one four and eight big sixes to help Chennai Super Kings post 202 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
