Indian One-Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 (T20) skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) who turned 35 this year, took to Twitter to thank everyone. Dhoni born July 7, 1981 was flooded with birthday wishes on all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). These wishes not only included fans but also fellow Indian and International cricketers. Dhoni in his tweet emphasised on the fact that how lucky and loved he feels to have such adulation from everyone. He further added that how blessed he is to celebrate his birthday on the holy occasion of EID. Dhoni is not only India s most successful captain in history, but he is the only captain in international cricket to have won all three ICC tournaments. Dhoni celebrated his birthday in a very humble and cool manner. Dhoni also tweeted about how he planted his 1st tree at his new farm house named KAILASHPATI. One of the best wishes came from former India teammate Virender Sehwag. Sehwag quipped, Happy Birthday @msdhoni. May you keep doing Anhoni ko Honi.#NationalHelicopterDay. Knowing Dhoni is known for his helicopter shot, Sehwag declared the day as same. Apart from Sehwag, newcomer who made debut in Zimbabwe tour Faiz Fazal also wished Dhoni on Twitter. Celebrities have also sent out special wishes across. MS Dhoni biopic s actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Amitabh Bachchan also took the opportunity to wish the Indian limited-over skipper.


Dhoni retired as India s most successful captain in Test cricket. He played 90 Tests, captained India in 60. His side won a record 27 under Dhoni, and also lost a significant numbers. In ODIs, Dhoni again led India in a record 194 matches. India won 107 their only achievement in triple figures under a captain. Dhoni has so far led India in a record 70 T20Is, and has the most number of wins (41).
