On Tuesday he came up with his own IPL Fantasy team on Twitter; aning notable omissions were his RPS, erstwhile Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and former India captain MS Dhoni and his current Indian captain Virat Kohli. The four foreign players in his team were Steven Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Mustafizur Rahman and Ben Stokes. IPL 2017: KL Rahul, Ravichandran Ashwin, Murali Vijay set to miss out

With Indian players coming off a long, tiring home season of international cricket, it seems like the long season has taken a toll on these Indian players, as they are most likely to miss out of the upcoming 10th edition of IPL, mostly due to excessive physical strain. While Dhoni is fit (as always), Kohli has been ruled out of the initial stages of the tournament as an outcome of a shoulder injury he picked up during the third Test at Dharamsala, against Australia in the just concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Other big names to miss IPL 2017 include Ashwin himself, Murali Vijay and KL Rahul.

Ashwin’s team, thus, reads Smith, Maxwell, Mustafizur, Stokes, Kedar Jadhav, Manan Vohra, Kuldeep Yadav, Amit Mishra, Mayank Agarwal, Wriddhiman Saha, Krunal Pandya.
