Cricket South Africa president Mtutuzeli Nyoka has been fired from his post for the second time this year as a CSA special general meeting in Kempton Park on Saturday, passed a no-confidence motion against him.
CSA’s CEO, Gerald Majola, briefly left the meeting and told the reporters waiting outside that CSA members were “voting in their new president”, reports said.
Earlier in February 2011, Nyoka was fired from his post after he consistently demanded an independent inquiry into CSA finances and bonuses paid to the staff including Majola.
He won the case at High Court and was reinstated, and CSA even agreed to an independent KPMG audit.
Nyoka has also been accused of disregarding majority decisions of the board and damaging its reputation.
