Lendl Simmons was dismissed in the second over of their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 encounter against the Rajasthan Royals. Mumbai Indians are chasing 190 for victory and they have to get it inside 14.3 overs to go through to the playoffs. In two overs, 19 for one. Michael Hussey and Corey Anderson are batting in the centre.

The first over was bowled by James Faulkner and Simmons attacked from the outset. He smashed three fours in the over and that was in an attempt to set the stage alight. The second over was bowled by Dhawal Kulkarni and the first ball was smashed for six by Hussey over mid-wicket. But later in the over, Simmons pulled one to mid-on.

Earlier, Mumbai won the toss and chose to bowl first in a crucial encounter. With the equations in place, they needed to bat second as that would make their task relatively easier. Mumbai brought back Corey Anderson and dropped Marchant de Lange. Rajasthan also made a few changes to their side.
