Indian batsmen Murali Vijay scored his fourth Test fifty on Day One of the second Test against South Africa at Kingsmead, Durban. Cheteshwar Pujara was supporting him at the other end. Vijay and Pujara also reached 100 runs partnership for the second wicket.

 

Pujara was unbeaten on 42 and Vijay was unbeaten on 71.  India’s score at end of 43 over was 145 for the loss of one wicket.

 

The Chennai Super Kings batsman doesn’t have a good overseas record and this fifty will motivate Vijay to do better. He made a slow start with Shikhar Dhawan. Vijay was in full flow towards lunch where he took his chances against lefty-arm spinner Robin Peterson. Pujara on the other end, has been at his best. He is unbeaten on , following a spectacular century in the second innings of the first Test at Johannesburg.
